About the Position: This is an obligated position. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
Review, analyze, and evaluate logistics systems to determine their overall effectiveness in achieving full logistics combat service support to the warfighter that ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, agreements and policies.
Direct, develop, implement and function as part of an Army Materiel Command organization engaged in the development of Army Enterprise Business Systems (EBS).
Maintain continuous review over development of the enterprise, identify problems, and coordinate cost-effective alternative policies and programs.
Work on special task forces/projects at the DoD and/or component level formed to review, study, and analyze existing and future logistics management support policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Secret security clearance.
- Acquisition certification, Life Cycle Logistics, Advanced level, within 4 years of job entry.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Applying regulations and practices pertaining to programs and budgets for Logistics functions; 2) Design and conduct comprehensive studies of logistical issues and; 3) Conduct studies to identify and propose solutions to logistics problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
