About the Position: Serve as the Division Chief, Records Management Division and the Army Records Officer with the U.S. Army Enterprise Services Agency, Army Records Management Directorate Fort Belvoir, VA 22060.
Duties
Develop, in collaboration with the Director, broad range plans and objectives for operation and improvement of Army-wide records management operational processes and procedures.
Direct studies, investigations, and development of alternatives, making evaluations involving a
wide scope of complex tasks to determine responsiveness of current and planned programs to short
and long-range requirements.
Execute administrative and personnel management functions related to the accomplishment of the assigned mission.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities; and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Analyze projects for applicability to military and Federal requirements, technical feasibility and execution practicality.
Justify, defends or negotiates in representing the Army Records Management Program in gaining compliance with established policies.
Confirm continuing validity of current records schedules, descriptions and holdings against actual Army functional requirements and Federal law.
Serve as a project leader or group member of interdepartmental teams established to resolve Government
wide records availability policies or problems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintain records in accordance with applicable laws, regulations or directives; create standard operating procedures or polices that impact records management programs; and develop records management training for staff.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
