The primary purpose of this position is to provide security technical expertise in developing and ensuring international security requirements are met by all parties and protection requirements are implemented and properly documented in Program Protection Plans, Security Classification Guides, Anti-Tamper Plans, Security Instructions, and Transportation Plans. Responsible for verifying/validating adequate protection of Government property, classified and/or Controlled Unclassified Information.
Duties
Implements the program protection planning activities for supported Security Assistance/Cooperation Programs, their facilities, and weapon systems ensuring that all elements of protection comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Implements the Program Protection and Technology Assessment and Control Program. Identifies critical technology and assesses the feasibility and benefit to the US of providing this technology to foreign governments and analyzing the risk to the US.
Implements the OPSEC program. Integrates security into the
acquisition process by providing acquisition security input to the requirement and contractual program documentation.
Incumbent must properly employ Anti-Tamper (AT) measures to add longevity to the critical technology by deterring efforts to reverse engineer, exploit, or develop countermeasures against a system or system component.
Represents organization with DoD, USAF, AFMC, other MAJCOMs, various AFLCMC organizations, and foreign government and military personnel. Maintains effective working relationships with these organizations.

- Work may occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal business hours.

- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of program protection, system security, technology assessment and control, foreign military sales, information, industrial, and personal security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
2. Expert ability in developing, analyzing, evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the SAF. Ability to perform risk assessment and determine adequate compensatory measures as appropriate.
3. Knowledge of engineering, contracting, logistics and other functional concepts, programs, procedures, and practices.
4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
