This position is part of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, Office of Information Technology. This position will lead the ideation, research and integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities across DFC. This position is responsible for identifying Artificial Intelligence opportunities, developing innovative concepts, and working cross-functionally with technical teams to bring these ideas to life, both within the corporation and within customer applications.
Duties
As an Information Technology Specialist (AI), you will:
Serve as Program Lead for Artificial Intelligence (AI) responsibilities including developing and executing a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with the agency's business objectives in support of a vision that will impact both internal operations and customer-facing products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, data scientists, business line management end user communities to identify opportunities for AI integration.
Build the agency's AI program and oversee the development and implementation of AI-powered features such as intelligent route optimization, predictive maintenance, natural language processing, and automated customer service.
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with AI technology vendors, research institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
Remain current with the latest AI trends and technologies, ensuring the agency remains at the forefront of innovation in government.
Manages the full AI product lifecycle, from product inception, planning, design, development, testing, implementation/introduction, and production support.
Evaluate the performance and impact of AI implementations on our products and services, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

BASIC REQUIREMENT
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT
In addition to the Basic Requirement listed above, you must meet the required specialized experience listed below.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your experience in all of the following:
1) Understanding and applying federal Artificial Intelligence (AI) policies and mandates to work products.
2) Communicating complex Artificial Intelligence concepts to non-technical stakeholders and for effective team collaboration.
3) Defining and driving strategy, vision, and roadmaps for Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives within an organization.
4) Managing the day-to-day and project tracking around all AI-based project and work.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
