Duties

Lead and participate in work performed by a team of technical specialists and support personnel. Coach, facilitate, solve work problems and participate in the work of the team. Monitor, review and report on work status and progress. Identify and sponsor innovations and improvements to program(s) to increase customer service, achieve efficiencies, and reduce costs. Prepare reports, maintain records, and provide information to the supervisor on performance of the team and individuals.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes: provide technical advice and assistance in various civilian Human Resources (HR) program areas to all levels of management officials; lead a team in the development, execution, evaluation, and oversight of civilian HR programs; brief senior leadership on civilian personnel programs; establish short and long range program goals for all aspects of civilian human resources; develop department wide human resources policies and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
