About the Position: This position Serves as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist who works under the broad supervision of the HQ AMC Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1 who provides general policy guidance covering program requirements.
Duties
Plans, develops, directs, and administers a comprehensive human resources management program for all Civilian employees throughout an Army command.
Reviews special studies, test programs, and periodic reports to develop command programs functions as labor-management relations; special employment programs; career programs; recruitment in support of changing missions of the Army, downsizing, etc.
Develops and implements policy and program guidance in the area of human resources management.
Provides staff leadership, advisory services, and direction for planning, development, operation and evaluation of a comprehensive personnel management program for the command.
Negotiates for resources and associated funding necessary to support program operations and policy implementation. P
Reviews and recommends/approves selections, promotions, and reassignments of key personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- One-year probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing operational civilian human resources policies for major organizational elements; developing and administering Federal Civilian foreign area employment and deployment policies and programs; evaluating a major organization's Federal Civilian human resources program for compliance and efficiency; developing and implementing policies and strategies for major workforce reshaping initiatives such as downsizing, consolidations, and reorganizations; providing broad technical guidance and oversight of Federal Civilian human resources program operations and administration.
