About the Position: This position is a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist with the Headquarters, U.S. Army Materiel Command, Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1, located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties
Responsible for providing a full range of life cycle military human resources (HR) management and program support to active and reserve component soldiers, Department of Army civilians, retirees and family members.
Provide staff advice and guidance to AMC Senior Leadership/Management.
Researches and interprets federal laws and regulations, policies, and procedures to advise on intent and application of concepts and principles to situations.
Develops and administers innovates Military Human Resources programs and Military HR Program tailored to the requirements of complex, technologically oriented organizations with diverse work force.
Conduct senior level pre-coordination and interaction with Secretarial level, Army Staff, and Department of Defense senior leaders and staff in advance of meetings, briefings, and presentations concerning complex and critical issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) up to 25% of the time.
- This position may require a one-year supervisory probationary period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising senior leadership and major subordinate commands/activities on the methods and assigned programs as it relates to military human resources management and Family Soldier programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
