About the Position: Incumbent serves as Chief, Talent Management and Development Division for the AMC HQ located at Redstone Arsenal, AL
Duties
Serves as Chief of Civilian Workforce and Talent Management Division. Works under the broad supervision of the HQ AMC Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1 (SES T2), who provides general policy guidance covering program requirements.
Receives broad policy and program guidance from the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1 , HQ AMC.
Within the framework of broadly defined goals and objectives, incumbent establishes plans and policies to ensure accomplishment of the command’s Human Capitol Strategy and various Human Resources (HR) Program goals and objectives.
Plans, develops, directs, and administers a comprehensive human resources management program for all Civilian Talent Management, Recruitment and Outreach, and Training of employees throughout the AMC Enterprise.
Supervises a staff of Human Resources Management Specialists and support personnel through grade GS-14 and above engaged in policy development and implementation.
Collaborates and coordinates with servicing Civilian Personnel Advisory Center Directors and their staffs concerning program requirements and the application/interpretation of applicable AMC policy guidance.
Reviews and recommends/approves selections, promotions, and reassignments of key personnel.
Requirements

- Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- A one-year Supervisory probationary period may be required.
- TDY travel may occasionally be required,

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) experience supervising and managing civilian human resource operations; 2) experience providing oversight for civilian personnel programs in the areas of recruitment and placement, classification and/or labor management and employee relations; 3) experience determining effective use of resources, plans, and procedures to improve a civilian human resources program; and 4) experience recommending solutions to problems that have significant impact on civilian human resources program/personnel operations.
