Duties
You will serve as TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in the NATIONAL SPECTRUM DEPARTMENT, OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR, NAVY MARINE CORPS SPECTRUM CENTER, FT. MEADE, MARYLAND.
You will prepare of engineering data for frequency, telecommunications, and other Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR)
You will analyze technical data of communication systems.
You will initiate and direct actions at the National or International level to eliminate conflicts in frequency
assignments.
You will allocate and approve the use of spectrum to support testing, training and maintenance of the Navy and Marine Corps operations in different locations.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to have completed Interservice Radio Frequency Management School (IRFMS) or the Army equivalent Electromagnetic Spectrum Managers Course.
Qualifications
Education:
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled.
Other Education: Communications/electronics or automatic data processing training in technical institutes or business schools above the high school level or in Armed Forces schools that included advanced instruction in addition to basic courses, may be substituted for general experience on a month-for-month basis.

Experience:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Experience in Radio Frequency Management at Agency, National and Internation level.
Experience developing International treaties, National agreements and arrangements
Experience preparing of engineering data for frequency, telecommunications, and other Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) matters for participation in meetings or subcommittees, National and International working groups Conferences and Conventions.
Experience analyzing technical data of communication systems and based upon knowledge of radio equipment and radio propagation, initiates and directs actions at the National or International level, as required, to eliminate conflicts in frequency assignments which arise as a result of the heavily congested radio frequency spectrum
