Duties
Responsible for managing the collection and analysis of data; and provide regular reporting of metrics, insights and findings related to industry engagements and technology evaluation to leadership.
Collaborate with the AFC Data and Platform Division team to develop and manage data ingestion and analysis tools, to include development of Microsoft PowerBI data visualizations
Coordinate across the various organizations within Army Futures Command to ensure standardization of data collection and analysis
Develop and manage business tools for internal business practices and processes
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- Business Travel (TDY) may be required up to 25% of the time.
- Secret Security clearance required.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Basic Requirement for Operations Research Analyst Series (1515):
Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. You MUST submit a copy of your transcript with your application package or you will be rated ineligible.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:1) Developing and managing business tools for internal business practices and processes, 2) Developing digital dashboards and data analytics to track and inform senior leadership decision making, 3) Assisting with the evaluation of alternatives utilized to assess projected capabilities for future mission support; and 4) Establishing governance and business operations for standardization of data collection and analysis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DB-03/GS-13).
