Qualifications

NOTE:  You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as preparing or responding to audits of financial or programmatic activities; collaborating with teams to enhance program compliance with applicable policies or regulations; and implementing internal control or payment integrity activities. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:  Knowledge of organizational and management principles and practices. Skill in developing recommendations to increase program efficiency. Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships. Skill in oral communication. Knowledge of statistical, accounting, budget and economic principles and techniques. Skill in written communication. Knowledge in the application of advanced management and organizational principles and practices. Ability to analyze programmatic operations sufficient to develop recommendations for improvement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
