About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Strategic Systems Support Element (SSSE), HQ's Element, Alexandria, Virginia.

Duties

Support the G8 Requirements Manager, the principal advisor to the commander and senior management for all matters pertaining to requirements management. Serve as subject matter expert on internal and external requirements policies, processes, and procedures. Monitor and track requirements documentation actions. Manage requirements management/analysis data/database to maintain working and historical organizational materiel and non-materiel requirements. Define organizational requirements during the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) system phases, Program Objective Memorandum (POM). Solicit, analyze, document, and facilitate prioritization and validation of user needs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on an SSBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Must pass the organization's Personnel Reliability Program which includes credit check, drug screening, polygraph and psychological evaluation.
  • Must be willing and able to participate in organization operations and training CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Periodically, chiefly during periods of crisis, may be required to work overtime or irregular hours.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) maybe required up to 25% of the time.
