This position serves as a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (PLCY/PLN), located in the Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Service Delivery Staff (SDS), End-User Support Services Section (ESS) in Washington, DC.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide oversight for the service desk and device management services, including leadership, personnel management, strategy development, security assessment, contingency management, and operations direction that provides a disciplined, reliable approach to the management of IT issues and telecommunication needs.
- Identifies, develops and implements new solutions that may be more efficient, more effective, and/or less expensive.
- Leads the service desk and device teams by ensuring appropriate security solutions are applied.
- Manages the overall work of the service desk and device teams to ensure risk and vulnerability of planned and installed information systems are in compliance.
- Oversees service desk and technical support services by applying expert knowledge and skills to include customer support concepts and methods.
- Benchmarks, analyzes, reports on, and makes recommendations for the improvement and growth of service desk and device management services.
- Leads rapid response teams in response to customer service problems resulting from catastrophic events such as virus infections or widespread power outages.
- Provide overall direction and oversight of personnel management, strategy development, and security assessment.

- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

- This position requires the candidate to obtain a Federal Acquisition Certificate for Contracting Officers Representative (FAC-COR) and/or Federal Acquisition Certificate for Program Manager (FAC-PM) within 12 months of appointment.

- This position requires the candidate to be able to hold a security clearance at the Top Secret / SCI security level.
Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Supervisory IT Program Manager (INFOSEC/CUSTSPT) at (GS-2210-15), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.

Basic Qualifications (2210 series):

AND
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized Experience is defined as:
Experience in service desk operations management including service delivery, strategic planning, and financial/budget management. AND
Managing and overseeing the IT programs and activities for staff members with hands-on support for information technology incidents, service requests, deployments, problem resolution and proactively preventing negative trends.
