About the Position: This Supervisory Interdisciplinary position is located at the U.S. Army Operational Test Command (OTC), Fire Support Test Directorate, with a duty location of Fort Sill, Oklahoma. (merit)
Duties
Serves as the interface to the ExCIS (Extensible C4I Instrumentation Suite) Project Officer to provide expertise and knowledge of test capabilities and provide oversight on implementing enterprise initiatives within OTC.
Determines scope of projects, develops a plan of action and defines specific objectives. Responsible for analyzing assignments, determining sound approaches to the problems, and carrying work through to completion.
Resolves difficult technical problems with assistance from personnel. Completed work may involve technical reports that are reviewed for technical accuracy and achievement of objectives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is subject to applicant testing and random drug testing in accordance with DA guidelines.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278e) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Test and Evaluation Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- This position is subject to a Temporary Duty or business travel requirement of 40% or less of the time.
- A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- A one-year trial/probationary period may be required.

Basic Education Requirement for Operations Research - 1515 series:
A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a bachelor's degree (or higher degree) with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
Basic Education Requirement for Computer Scientist - 1550 series:
A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in computer science or bachelor's degree (or higher degree) with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
Basic Education Requirement for Data Science Series - 1560 series:
A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
OR
B. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
In addition to meeting one of the basic requirements above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performing operations for a test and evaluation program; and 2) Planning or analyzing for a test and evaluation program; and 3) Coordinating or managing the efforts of a test and evaluation program.
B. I do not possess the experience above.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required specialized experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using specialized experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
