About the Position: The incumbent of this position will work as a Supervisory Housing Management Specialist in the Housing Branch, within HQ IMCOM at, Fort Sam Houston, TX, serving as a staff advisor and expert consultant on housing management issues.

Duties

Initiates, develops and implements policies governing the establishment, operation and performance of Army Housing programs at the HQ IMCOM, IMCOM Directorates, and installation levels. Serve as a staff advisor and expert consultant on housing management issues. Conducts reviews of garrison housing management operations to assess the implementation of Army housing acquisition, management and disposal programs. Establishes targets and guidelines for meeting equal housing opportunity objectives.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
  • This position requires a one year supervisory probation period.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13 above). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????13).
