About the Position: This Supervisory position is located at U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command, Mission Engineering Directorate at FT Huachuca, AZ.
Duties
You are responsible for mission workload accomplished through various engineering services contracts.
Exercises authority to initiate, plan, direct and execute support activities of the Command related to the assigned mission.
Distributes work according to resource needs and availability and initiates contract support as required.
Interviews and makes selections for subordinate positions, including supervisory positions.
Exercises position management responsibilities to ensure compliance with the principles and requirements of sound position management.
Participates fully in the overall management of USAISEC to include formulation of plans and policy, long range programs, and organization changes.
Develops, presents and defends policy and program changes which have far reaching impact on the long term mission and goals of the Command.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Special Sensitive/High Risk, Sensitive Compartmented Information.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 50% of the time.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03/GS-13).

Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Directing multiple IT projects/programs involving complex technical issues related to personnel and financial resources; 2) Developing short and long term IT technical architecture, strategic planning, or budget resource requirements; and 3) Planning work to be accomplished by subordinate team of full time employees that are directly managed within the organization.
