About the Position: This position is located at Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital at Fort Johnson, Louisiana.
Duties
Provide technical advice and instruction in facility management procedures utilizing existing assets and adequacy of contractual requirements.
Monitor team to ensure completion of objectives in adherence to policies and directives.
Resolve difficult and sensitive policy issues and problems while achieving project goals.
Initiate long-term projects to provide support across the areas of operations.
Coordinate with internal or external entities in the planning and development processes.
Review completed work to ensure compliance with established plans and specifications.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- This position requires a valid state driver's license.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) coordinating projects performed in-house or by contract in medical facility; 2) assisting with developing building maintenance objectives or long-term planning; AND 3) analyzing data to improve facility management operations in a healthcare setting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
