About the Position: This position is with the Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital (BJACH) located at Fort Johnson, Louisiana. As a Facility Operations Specialist at BJACH, the incumbent will maintain buildings and grounds, coordinate repairs, and advise on operational problems related the facility.

Duties

Implements a comprehensive facility management program to provide an optimum level of service with minimal disruption/ interference to facility. Considers current use patterns to project future requirements. Evaluate the condition of building and grounds to determine maintenance, repair, renovation, modernization and/or improvement requirements. Assess facility condition against established standards. Inspect contractor work to ensure completion of contract requirements. Assist in the planning of annual and preventative maintenance. Coordinate repair projects with contractor or installation public works services.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Up to 5% Business Travel required.
• This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
• Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license upon hire.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
