About the Position: Serve as a Senior level Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Specialist for the U.S. Army Military District of Washington (USAMDW), and Joint Task Force-National Capital Region (JTF-NCR), a Service Component Headquarters to Headquarters, North American Aerospace Defense (NORAD) Command and the United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). This position is located at Fort McNair.

Duties

Develop plans and procedures for conducting complaints processing. Direct, design, and implement efforts to hire and retain individuals with disabilities. Maintain current knowledge and keep abreast of developments in both the Federal government and private sector which relate to equal employment opportunity. Manage and administer the EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) informal and formal complaint process. Coordinate with other operational level EEO staff specialists on matters that impact on the various EEO programs and participate in development of new or changed programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and/or on-call duty hours.
