About the Position: Serves as the Equal Employment Manager for the U.S. Army Military District of Washington, and Joint Task Force - National Capital Region.

Duties
Determine the need for program resources, to include manpower, budget, equipment, and initiates action to obtain resources.
Manage resources in the most efficient manner to ensure that program objectives are met.
Enlist the support of various specialists such as those associated with civilian personnel administration, attorney advisors and union-management officials.
Assure through advisory services that supervisors and managers function fully in support of the affirmative employment programs and complaints resolution.
Render decisions for the Department of Army (DA) on the acceptance or dismissal of EEO complaints.
Provide factual records and affidavits of witnesses to the Staff judge Advocate (SJA) and United States (U.S.) Attorneys on cases filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and in District Court.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Required Specialized Experience for GS-14: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes planning, organizing, implementing, reviewing, and evaluating an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program, managing policy development, identifying, and eliminating discrimination, analyzing complex regulations, determining causes and resolutions of issues, negotiating policy decisions, overseeing the program, and maximizing resource use to achieve program objectives.
Required Specialized Experience for GS-13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes which includes assisting in managing an Equal Employment Opportunity Office, providing quality services, and advising management on program requirements and personnel impact of organizational policies.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
