About the Position: Serve as Senior Advisor and technical expert to the Headquarters, Department of Army (HQDA), Office of the Deputy Chief of staff (DCS), G-9, Installation (IS) Director, Housing Division Chief, and Branch Chief.
Relocation incentive MAY be authorized by IAW agency policy.
Duties
Coordinate various aspects of the Army centralized housing management programs, including family housing, unaccompanied housing and housing referral services.
Implement policies that are in consonance with congressional guidance and Department of Defense directives governing the acquisition, management, utilization, maintenance, and disposal of housing worldwide.
Develop staff position papers for higher authority, major commands or field activities.
Prepare information papers and briefing slides relating to the occupancy, utilization, acquisition, management, operation, disposal, maintenance and repair, renovation, construction and condition of housing.
Perform data analytics of Army Housing programs and inventories to include requirement, quantities, quality ratings, service metric ratings and resources contained within agency systems.
Visit field installations for the purpose of reviewing the implementation of Army housing policy and to determine housing requirements.
Requirements

- Occasional travel may be required, up to 15% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing oversight of various military housing requirements and/or programs to include: General and Flag Officer Quarter Program and/or Housing Requirement Market Analysis, Housing Services Office, Furnishings Management Office, Leased Housing Program, enterprise Military Housing (eMH) database system, Army Barracks Management Program, and Family Housing (government-owned, leased or privatized). Possesses experience in data analysis of Army Housing inventories (Family & Unaccompanied) contained within agency systems (i.e.- HQIIS, ISR/BUILDER, eMH), evaluating the effectiveness of military housing programs to develop recommendations for improvement; interpreting legislation involving military housing programs to develop policy; assessing housing policies to ensure the efficiency of existing housing programs; identifying solutions to meet evolving housing program requirements; and evaluating service performance metrics for validity and relevancy in determining the effectiveness of housing operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
