You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SUSTAINMENT GROUP, SUSTAINMENT PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & ANALYSIS DEPT, WEAPONS SUSTAINMENT MGMT DIV, SUSTAINMENT MGMT BRANCH 1 of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will provide logistics leadership, technical assistance, guidance or direct logistics program management.
You will initiate and manage procurement and sustainment contracts, including technical reviews and interface with manufacturers.
You will lead team members in sustainment and acquisition of new capabilities, including organic and commercial depots, supply support, technical data, support equipment, inventory management, manpower and training.
You will assist with managing sustainment resources allocated to the Integrated Product Team to include determining requirements, configuration management, and execution of funding.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Providing logistics support for weapons or aircraft acquisition; 2) Managing product support and sustainment; 3) Developing and managing logistics, program funding requirements, scheduling, and staffing; 3) Working knowledge of Aircraft Armament Equipment (AAE) relevant manuals, maintenance procedures and common operating and deploying environment.
