The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Office of Secure Transportation, Office of Technical Services (OTS), has a great opportunity for a Program Manager located in Albuquerque, NM. This position is responsible for managing a large number of highly technical programs, with staff comprised of federal employees and support services contractors with National Laboratory support.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-03 or GS-14. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: experience managing and coordinating complex professional, scientific, engineering, or technical programs and projects; lead organizations with diverse missions; and influence major system outcomes.
Examples of Specialized Experience:
Managing and coordinating complex, large dollar value programs and projects of a professional, scientific, engineering, or technical nature such as advanced vehicle, aerospace, security, and/or information technology systems;
Organizing work, setting priorities, and determining resource and budgetary requirements for organizations with 45+ employees and multiple subordinate supervisors;
Determining short- or long-term goals and strategies for organization(s) with diverse missions; and
Coordinating and collaborating with other Federal agencies, contractors, and private sector organizations to monitor program progress, manage risk reduction activities, evaluate contractor performance, and gauge outcomes against contractual requirements.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
