About the Position: Incumbent serves as the Deputy for Programs and Project Management and Chief of the Planning, Programs and Project Management Division. *Position may be filled by temporary promotion, which may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years. *Position at the same grade may be filled by detail, which may be made, and/or extended without time limitation. The detail is subject of approval by the losing activity.

Duties

Assess district mission and work requirements and in developing corporate plans, goals, and objectives. Ensures the establishment of corporate goals on schedule, cost, scope, and budget in Project Management Plans (PMP) in coordination with functional elements. Supervises a staff of planning, program and project managers, administrative and support team members. Directs the formulation of the district's civil works program and annual program budget. Resolves Project Management Plan (PMP) issues with functional elements to ensure optimum product schedule, cost, scope, acquisition plan, budget, and quality.

Requirements

  • Business Travel (TDY) 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes oversight of Civil Works, Military, and/or Interagency and International Support (IIS) projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
