Duties
As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will:
Develop policies, procedures, and controls for formulating the budget, preparing budget justifications, and preparing supplementary budget requests and reprogramming requests'
Prepare statistical analyses, and special reports on budget proposals and related matters; and develop apportionment and reapportionment document and manages the rescission of PIH resources.
Review all proposals for supplementary budget requests and reprogramming reports for substance need, and conformity with Departmental policies and commitments.
Develop and review budget justifications and appropriations language for consistency with policy, adequacy, accuracy, and required format
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Supervising a team involving financial management, budget, and accounting information; AND
- Formulating, presenting, executing and facilitating a department's budget; AND
- Drafting analyses which evaluate the impact and significance to a department's budget of new or revised legislation, polices, procedures, and program requirements
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
