You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER in the FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY CRANE.
Duties
You will coordinate with officers on other shifts and stations to ensure work accomplishment, training, and priorities are met.
You will assess a junior firefighter or employee work performance to determine if performance objectives are being met.
You will present fire protection and prevention education or training to employees.
You will identify hazards that require modification to a fire prevention or fire protection program.
You will manage the development and implementation of a risk management plan for a fire department.
You will prepare inspection reports to document findings of fire safety deficiencies.

- The following certifications, if not already held, must be obtained within 12 months of hire as mandatory condition of position: HazMat Technician.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Controlling or extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military, industrial, volunteer, or governmental fire department or brigade; 2) Developing, implementing, or providing training in fire protection and prevention; 3) Operating a variety of firefighter vehicles, apparatuses and equipment; 4) Providing hazardous material incident response; NOTE: This information must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for the position.
In addition, this position requires possession of the following certifications: 1) Firefighter I; 2) Firefighter II; 3) HazMat Awareness; 4) HazMat Operations; 5) HazMat Incident Commander; 6) Driver Operator Pumper; 7) Driver Operator Aerial; 8) Driver Operator MWS; 9) Fire Officer I; 10) Fire Officer II; 11) Fire Inspector I; 12) Fire Instructor I; 13) NREMT; 14) CPR. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, NREMT, IFSAC or Proboard to meet the requirements. NOTE: If you do not possess all of the above certifications, and provide copy with your application, you will be rated ineligible.
