About the Position: This position is assigned to the Human Resources Division, Reynolds Army Health Clinic (RAHC), Fort Sill, OK.

Duties

Routinely coordinate with the Medical Company and Personnel Division to verify deployment status (ETS, PCS, retirement, profiles,) of assigned personnel. Provide guidelines to identify, qualify, train, and implement assignment procedures for Active/Reserve Army Medical Department personnel. Research and provide explanation and interpretation regarding rules, regulations, procedures, and requirements pertaining to actions taken or recommended. Provide specialized knowledge and expertise of military personnel procedures and programs in support of Fort Sill's military personnel management and mission requirements. Advise, counsel, or instruct employees on work and administrative matters.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Supervisory probationary period may be required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting and providing guidance on military personnel policies and procedures; processing personnel or pay actions; utilizing clerical or administrative procedures to complete reports and/or correspondence; and conducting staff inspections to ensure unit readiness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, and Management (Note: You MUST submit a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You MUST submit a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: HR Information SystemsManaging Human ResourcesOral CommunicationProblem SolvingStrategic ThinkingWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????07).
