Duties

You will collaborate for the development of program guidance and requirements for development, test and evaluation, procurement and in-service operations of supported programs. You will ensure that program milestones established provide adequate time and resources for implementation by contractors, field activities and participating government agencies. You will plan adequate administrative and procurement lead-times, realistic development schedules, cost-effective and a wide range of other factors that influence the development of program plans. You will evaluate and analyze all aspects of the program including program objectives, policies, work operations, progress, resources utilization, intra and inter-program balances and related matters.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
