Position may be filled as a Temporary appointment NTE one year. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years. Current Army employees with competitive status who accept a time-limited appointment will be separated at the end of the time-limited appointment date if the Not-to-extend (NTE) date is not extended.
Duties
Coordinate and/or direct the operational support services for the administrative, medical, dental, facilities, training, transportation, or logistical requirements in support of mobilization operations
Serve as assistant to the Installation Mobilization Coordinator (IMC) in support of, mobilization, pre /post deployment , and general war planning operation administrative functions.
Evaluate plans and/or document files providing recommendations to update specific project requirements during contingency planning of mobilization projects.
Support the organization in leading a team of military officers, non- commissioned officers, and/or civilian employees to perform mobilization, deployment/redeployment or general war planning.
Analyze automated reject/error listings to determine if data errors were caused by a system deficiency or by coding problems implementing appropriate corrective actions.
Maintain unit mobilization files, to include overall readiness status, maintaining plans or directives through periodic reviews.
Develop coordinate and /or implement planning directives within the regulatory framework of the organization
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required outside of local commuting area, approximately 10% of the time.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 30 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- May be required to serve on permanent or rotating shifts and is subject to working nights/weekends/recalls and/or extensive overtime.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience specialized requirements described below. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in 1) Providing input for the development of plans for mobilization or deployment of units 2) Providing administrative guidance such as preparing reports, assisting with contingency plans or assisting with system plans on mobilization procedures and 3) Coordinating with organizations or outside agencies for the mobilization of units. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business and/or Business Administration. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
