You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the N4 SUPPLY, LOGISTICS AND FACILITIES DEPARTMENT of NVRECRUITNGCMD.

Duties

You will mange the fleet operation program and service contracts (e.g., vehicle maintenance, repair, replacement, automotive disposal) to upkeep equipment. You will develop a positive relationship with internal and external customers (e.g., team members, contractors) to build working relationships. You will monitor a vehicle program to ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with General Services Administration (GSA) vehicle requirements. You will recommend solutions to resolve system problems relating to government vehicles. You will assign work to project team members through selective consideration of the level of assignment difficulty, capabilities of the team members, and the deadline requirements of the assignment.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing, recording, or compiling information related to transportation; 2) Conducting or assisting in investigation complaints or error of assigned vehicles; 3) Analyzing, reviewing, and preparing reports from vehicles transportation and safety programs; 4) Collecting vehicle usage and maintenance information to document vehicle conditions such as damage and/or misuse. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
