About the Position: The incumbent selected for this position will serve as a Transportation Specialist, GS-2101-09 for the United States Army Corps of Engineers, USACE Logistics Activity Transportation Division, Fleet.
Duties
Oversee the fleet management and fleet maintenance program as outlined in DOD, Army, and United States Army Corps of Engineers regulations governing fleet management and maintenance policies.
Plan and carry out the successive steps and exercises initiative in obtaining and analyzing fleet data, and identifying, resolving, or alerting supervisor to potential problems.
Provide advice on fleet equipment acquisition, operations, maintenance, and repair disposal.
Monitor reports and identifies problem areas.
Furnish technical advice and opinions regarding recommendations and/or problems pertaining to fleet management functions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time outside of regular duties.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Incumbent may volunteer for assignments subject to 24-hour on call, in the event of an emergency. This service may require irregular working hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include other duties.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Workforce position. The incumbent must meet DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the duties of the position.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Provide policy and regulatory guidance to higher management on the general utilization and maintenance of vehicles. 2) Evaluate repair services to ensure the quality control of repairs and maintenance services. AND 3) Monitor reports and assist in identifying problem areas.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).OREducation: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages
