About the Position: Serve as a Human Resources Specialist in U.S. Army Installation Management Command, Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Directorate, Human Resources Support Team at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties
Serve as a senior staff-level civilian Human Resources (HR) Specialist responsible for providing technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of civilian Human Resources program areas.
Provide technical advice to management and employees on civilian human resources (HR) policies, practices, procedures, and issues.
Provide technical advice and assistance on workforce development programs to all levels of management officials within the Directorate and supported activities.
Review civilian human resources (HR) regulatory guidance from higher authorities and provide interpretative guidance to supported installations.
Prepare and present reports and briefings on program status and/or recommended actions to appropriate individuals.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes providing technical advice and guidance on civilian human resources (HR) programs, policies, and procedures; analyzing and recommending solutions to resolve civilian human resources problems; evaluating and recommending overall plans and proposals for complex civilian human resources projects; interpreting and analyzing data extractions or reports from automated HR databases. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
