About the Position: Serves as recognized authority or senior manager leading and managing assigned area for major, highly complex weapon or information systems acquisition in the areas of Logistics Support.
This is a pay banded position. The NH-04 encompasses grades 14 and 15 on the General Schedule.
Duties
Execute assigned missions in support of serviced population having centralized management responsibility for specific weapon systems or items.
Defines problems, develops recommendations for issues and resolutions of issues to be addressed.
Provides high level managers and military planners background information, planning rationales, and alternatives.
Represents the organization on high level boards, committees, and study groups regarding logistics management issues.
Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
Supports an understanding of the Command's Affirmative/EEO Program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
- One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Advanced certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position. 4 years of acquisition experience are required.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position. Selectee must execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal service in this position for at least three years.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Leading a team performing logistics management duties related to aviation and/or missile weapon system programs; 2) Providing aviation and/or missile weapon system maintenance and repair support; and 3) Providing guidance, advice and recommendations on aviation and/or missile weapon system logistics.
