About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Duties

Make an initial inspection of all Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE). Prepare forms and maintain control logs on supplies and materials. Review issue and turn-in documents to maintain an accurate inventory. Maintain adequate stock levels. Prepare and submit requisitions through supervisor to ensure sufficient quantities of OCIE are on hand when required.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • This position may require the incumbent to use safety equipment, such as, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, or any other safety equipment that will preclude personal injury.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 25 pounds in the regular performance of duties.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Inventory ManagementSupply Support Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
