About the Position: This Position is located in Fort Belvoir Community Hospital Director For Administration Dept. of IM/IT

Duties

Maintains and manages inventories of supplies and equipment within the department. Maintains accurate accounting and reporting systems for nonexpendable property and performs standardized property management control processes Conducts physical inventories of equipment as directed to ensure property accountability programs are being managed appropriately Receives and screens lists or other documents specifying supplies or materials needed for IT programs Receives direction from senior procurement managers, engineers, and executives and makes authorized purchases per established regulatory guidelines Performs administrative duties in support of the department.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 2 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
  • You must be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes making or coordinating purchase requests with customers; tracking supplies and materials using automated purchase requisition systems such as Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS); assisting in conducting physical inventory of accountable property; assisting hand receipt holder in maintaining property account records documentation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Manages ResourcesTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
