About the Position: This position is located at A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center (formerly Fort Belvoir Community Hospital).

Duties

Retrieve and provide information to customers as well as vendors. Responsible for the tracking of status of requisitions, contracts, and orders. Use automated to ensure stock will be coming in a timely manner. Enter purchase orders and contract data into the automation supply systems. Responsible for monitoring prime vendor performance and recommending solutions to the contracting representative. Forecast inventory needs based on requirements. Determines the quantity of items and funds required to provide materiel support. Ensures adequate stock levels are maintained.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Supply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
