The primary purpose of this position is to exercise first-level supervisory and managerial authorities as the Chief, Integrated Resiliency Division located in a Major Command (MAJCOM) headquarters.
Duties
As Division Chief, plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Division.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Develops, refines and implements the MAJCOM strategic vision for Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), Equal Opportunity (EO) and Affirmative Employment Program (AEP).
Serves as focal point for resource allocation and control, and maintains effective liaison with AF program monitors and the AF Airman and Family Programs Resource Manager to ensure accurate and equitable allocation to the command.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, IAW OPM Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions for GS-0301.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes exercises managerial authority for formulating program goals, plans, policies, and work plans dealing with the development and operation of division-wide and command-wide community support functions and integrated resilience activities. As a recognized authority in the analysis and evaluation of resilience/community programs and issues, the incumbent speaks for the command on major issues and independently plans, schedules, and carries out division programs, keeping the Director informed of status..
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Expert knowledge of one or more agency Community Support Programs and the ability to direct, evaluate and determine program requirements for MAJCOM community, families and Airmen support delivery systems as it impacts D&I, AEP, military and civilian EO, interpersonal and self-directed violence, community support, SAPR and resilience programs.
2. Expert knowledge of the structure, regulations, practices, and programs of human performance to direct Total Force Fitness; including an understanding of, and ability to respond to the particular concerns and issues; to serve as a consultant and agency expert to lead a multidisciplinary team in the areas of Airmen, Family and Community Support and Total Force Fitness/Resiliency.
3. In-depth knowledge of the agency military culture, family dynamics, related professional fields, and a thorough knowledge of the community environment; in order to address the unique challenges that military families face; or equivalent knowledge.
4. Skill to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy and persuasively interact with other senior management and agency technical experts from a broad range of career fields to negotiate major issues of importance.
5. Ability to analyze, plan, organize, and direct work operations to meet program requirements and objectives with available resources.
6. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of the organization; including ability to effectively apply agency personnel, safety, and security regulations, practices, and procedures
