About the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Data Quality Manager for Kenner Army Health Clinic. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

Provide process improvement recommendations to increase access to care. Make recommendations to staff for improvements in delivered healthcare. Collect data from a wide variety of medical information systems to be analyzed. Conduct data analysis of health care delivery systems. Serves as the Data Quality Manager. Monitors compliance with policies and processes. Identifies training needs implementing plans as appropriate. Brief results of data analysis to document the quality of medical care provided.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Tier 1: This position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
  • Hepatitis B: Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
  • Influenza: This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations.
  • Tuberculosis (TB): This position requires the incumbent to have Tuberculosis testing.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience in extracting and analyzing data from a variety of medical information systems and applying analyzed data into improvements in procedures and processes in health care system setting. OR Education: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
