Duties
Provides authoritative advice and guidance pertinent to CS program policies, guides, and standard operating procedures during all stages of the automation process.
Conducts and leads various CS meetings with organizational elements and IT representatives to plan, evaluate, and determine appropriate measures needed to ensure security requirements are met.
Manages the vulnerability and incident reporting process and is the central point of contact for all DCCP-C security incidents and violations for DFAS.
Plans, organizes, and determines scope and depth of system(s) and common controls which are largely undefined.
Collaborates with numerous stakeholders in support of the DoD Cyber Workforce (DCWF) including IT, HR, LDD, CSD, OGC, Operations RSO, CS Employees, and supervisors.
Provides expert-level consulting support and applied his in-depth knowledge of the DoD Cyber Workforce (DCWF) in support of the DoD Cyber Workforce (DCWF) 8140 transition and maintenance.
Regularly collaborate with inter-office departments, such as HR, BMO, Manpower, and Classification to ensure accurate cyber coding of DFAS positions to include the processing of Request for Personnel Actions (RPA).

Oral Communication- briefing mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of technical information to a non-technical audience
Problem Solving- identifying alternatives to address complex information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions
In addition to the Basic Competency Requirements listed above, one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-12 in the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as completing system certification and accreditation, administering systems security products to produce and evaluate reports, and resolve security issues within a systems environment; reviewing system change requests to identify and document software or procedural changes which affect security or information assurance; interpreting, managing, or facilitating changes to Cybersecurity policies and procedures; providing guidance to I&T management, staff and customers; grant user access; and developing controls for common IT processes based on government or industry best practices, policies and laws.
