You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (SYSTEM ADMIN/CUSTOMER SUPPORT) within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will serve as the Branch Chief over the Client Systems Support Branch.
You will develop, assign and manage the short term and long-term work to be accomplished by all work centers for the J664 branch.
You will establish processes and procedures that integrates NMCI, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), PEO Digital, Mission Partner Environment (MPE), and other external agencies involved in IT service delivery for HQ USINDOPACOM.
You will participate in planning meetings requiring support from the J664 branch and advise leadership on emerging IT requirements for HQ USINDOPACOM operations.
You will establish processes and procedures the ensure all Video Teleconferencing calls are scheduled, tested, and setup on time.
You will procure new technologies and/or leveraging existing technologies to maintain situational awareness reporting for division leadership.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 801, proficiency level basic the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Assisting USINDOPACOM customers to define, validate and document IT requirements.
2) Assessing potential impacts of all internal or external programs, policy and/or contract changes regarding NMCI operations and services.
3) Making changes in work methods, organization of work, or assignment of functions to section personnel to improve work processes and services rendered, promote job satisfaction, increase productivity, or provide cross training.
4) Developing strategies and plans for satisfying customer support requirements of the HQ through field visits, telephone contacts, review of statistical data, and other methods.
5) Identifying, escalating, and reporting issues to outside organizations including NMCI, DISA Network Operations Center, Mission Partner Environment (MPE), and INDOPACNET.
6) Displaying superior performance in the most challenging Information Management Systems positions.
