You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY/OA) assigned to the Installation Personnel Administrative Center of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.
Duties
You will perform process actions, which involve unusual procedures, such as applications for special assignment or schools, and requests for service histories of former military personnel.
You will establish entitlements to veterans’ benefits and/or determinations on the validity of past actions.
You will provide guidance to other employees as needed.
You will prepare, review, and report information into automated systems that affect pay, promotion, and legal reporting.
You will review and verify records to identify discrepancies and gaps in information.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing a variety of personnel administrative tasks pertaining to military personnel. Tasks pertain to reviewing records, processing personnel actions affecting pay, legal actions or separations, retrieving data from various sources, and responding to correspondence.
