About the Position: Serves as an Administrative Officer USA FORSCOM, NATIONAL TRAINING CENTER.

Duties

Incumbent actively participates in the management coordination and oversight of the National Training Center G8 Resource Management office by performing management analysis, program analysis, and administrative functions. Assists the Director and G8 Management in the design and implementation of policies and procedures within the directorate to manage administrative and personnel-related functions. Serve as a Administrative Officer for a variety of HQDA special programs, including but not limited to Mass Transportation Benefit Program . Makes recommendations and provides advice/assistance to staff in coordination with the Director. Analyzes new or proposed regulations to determine impact on Army program operations and suggests modifications, or drafts edits as necessary to policies, goals or objectives.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain the a Secret security clearance.
  • 5% TDY
  • Weekends/ holidays, and shift work may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includesincludes performing administrative support functions for an office and assisting management with interpreting and analyzing administrative principles, concepts, policies, and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCustomer ServiceManages and Organizes InformationPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-7).
