About the Position: This position is with USA FORSCOM, NATIONAL TRAINING CENTER, OFFICE OF THE COMMANDING GENERAL, FORT IRWIN, CA 92310.

Duties

Serve as the Commanding General's primary administrative official with the responsibility for planning, development, and execution of the Administrative Management Program. Research and prepare manpower requirements to include justification of current or requested positions and grade level structures. Work with the Protocol Officer, supporting official visitors, ceremonies, conferences, and special events supported by the US Army at Fort Irwin.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes the following. Perform administrative duties such as maintaining a calendar, making travel plans, monitoring correspondence written and verbal and decide the priority of the information that the manager needs to be made aware of. Perform work for manpower requirements. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementHuman Resources ManagementTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. Education: As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
