Duties

You will provide advice and guidance to various command personnel on a variety of command policies and procedures, administrative matters, and office operations to management officials and/or team personnel. You will advise and instruct subordinate secretaries concerning such matters as directives, reports, correspondence, and telephone procedures. You will evaluate overall program and workload requirements and adjust or recommend changes, as appropriate. You will supervise and instruct subordinates on the full range of administrative matters.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: A basic foundation of administrative concepts and practices sufficient to enable the incumbent to recommend changes in administrative policies, devise and install procedures and office practices affecting subordinate organizations, and foresee administrative problems and requirements; Knowledge of substantive programs of the FRC as they relate to clerical and administrative functions; Skill in advising and instructing subordinate secretaries concerning such matters as directives, reports, correspondence, and telephone procedures; Knowledge of the duties, priorities, commitments and programs goals of the division to shift administrative staff in subordinate offices to respond to fluctuating workloads and to advise secretaries on preparing correspondence, requirements for various reports, and interpreting new instructions and procedures; Comprehensive knowledge of International Merchants Purchase Acquisition Card (IMPACT) VISA procurement regulations and procedures; Comprehensive knowledge of DTS to create travel authorizations and vouchers; Comprehensive knowledge and experience using a wide variety of automated systems to include, but not limited to, ASM, DTS, TAA, DCPDS, TWMS, and CONOPS; Skill in oral and written communication in order to effectively communicate tasks with subordinates, prepare written responses, conduct briefings, and perform leadership duties.
