About the Position: Logistics Management Specialist located with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command,(AMCOM) Logistics Center,
Missiles Directorate, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

Duties
Lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees, in accordance with established work flow and/or skill level.
Analyze logistical problems, in aviation and missile systems, and recommend course of action to resolve issues that arise during development or sustainment of a major weapon system.
Oversee short and long-range planning to ensure adequate readiness support is available to maintain unit/system readiness.
Perform readiness studies and/or special projects to improve readiness and/or supply availability of supported weapon system, which include preparing reports and/or formal written/oral briefings.
Develop maintenance concepts, supply support elements, and product improvement initiatives to ensure quality sustainment of weapon system in support of Program Management Office logistics.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually.
- TDY travel up to 25% of the time.
- Acquisition certification, Advanced Level III, Life Cycle Logistics, within 4 years of job entry.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Supporting major weapons systems at the field or unit level; and Experience in three or more areas of logistic operations or management programs e.g., deployment, foreign military sales, procurement, maintenance, supply, training, distribution, provisioning, and readiness to include the technical ability to resolve major weapon system issues.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
