About the Position: This position is located at the Naval Hospital in Twenty Nine Palms, San Bernadino County, California. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Receive visitors and patients via telephone and in-person. Schedule patient appointments for the clinic. Request patient records for files. Assist in referring walk-in and emergency patients for treatment. Retrieve data from databases or spreadsheet software to compile standard reports. Typing 40 WPM

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
