Duties
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over supervisory and nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Resources Division, Mission Support Directorate.
DUTIES:
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of 618 AOC and HQ 18 AF, ensuring that Resources Division complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Represents 618 AOC with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Enhances the efficiency and synergy of Resource functionality across HQ AMC, HQ 18 AF and the 618 AOC (TACC) and provides management advisory services to top level managers.

- This is a Supervisory Position. A 1-year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement.

- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
- Incumbent may be required to be on standby to respond to emergency requirements, which could involve procuring transportation, resolving on-the-spot problems, and assisting customers in emergency situations
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

The position is designated as KEY. Incumbent must be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling the position during an emergency are not available. The incumbent may be required to take part in test alerts and practice exercises.
QUALIFICATIONS:
In order to qualify, you must meet the Specialized Experience Requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions: Administrative and Management Positions- Management and Program Analysis Series (0343)
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 (or higher) grade level or equivalent (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or public sector). Examples of specialized experience include broad knowledge of DoD, USTRANSCOM, Air Force, command, organization and unit operations, practices, policies, and procedures to effectively cultivate, improve and enhance senior leadership command and control situational awareness; knowledge of professional principles, practices, techniques, and procedures of financial, budget and programming, manpower, training, security and military and civilian personnel to effectively perform supervisory functions to execute Agency, command and organizational goals; and knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Broad knowledge of DoD, USTRANSCOM, Air Force, command, organization and unit operations, practices, policies, and procedures to effectively cultivate, improve and enhance senior leadership command and control situational awareness.
Knowledge of professional principles, practices, techniques, and procedures of financial, budget and programming, manpower, training, security and military and civilian personnel to effectively perform supervisory functions to execute Air Force, command and organizational goals.
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to analyze, evaluate and resolve very broad, complex or sensitive technical, operations and sustainment problems while managing entire technical integration programs and operations involving diverse organizations, multiple approving authorities and a variety of policies and controls.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
