The primary purpose of this position is to manage IT projects and administer a full range of information technology functions in support of the organization mission to provide technology services and solutions to its customers.

Duties
The duties and responsibilities for an IT Project Manager (PLCYPLN) generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Develop project plans within the context of a Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to address system design, development, deployment, and operations/maintenance.
2. Lead teams in the coordination of work to resolve technical issues.
3. Provide advice, guidance, and recommendation to management regarding Information Technology (IT) issues.
4. Oversee the migration of system changes from test to production environment and monitor systems for stability, accuracy and performance.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.
- You may be required to complete a one-year probationary or two-year trial period.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of IT PROJECT MANAGER (PLCYPLN) at (GS-2210-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
Basic Requirement: To qualify for the position of IT Project Manager (PLCYPLN), GS-2210-14, all applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
(1) Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
(2) Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
(3) Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
(4) Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the basic qualifications listed above, all applicants must have the following:
For the GS-14: Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as providing leadership to teams in the analysis, design, development, and implementation involving using new technology approaches related to Information Technology (IT) services or programs to resolve issues.
