You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT BRANCH of STRIKE FIGHTER WING PACIFIC STAFF.

Duties

You will perform analysis and advisory assignments related to the effectiveness of programs and/or efficiency of the management operations. You will serve as the procurement technical expert on GCPC and micro-purchase procedures and policy. You will be responsible for reviewing proposed policy changes, evaluating implications and providing recommendations. You will conduct studies of administrative and managerial processes and procedures to assess and refine productivity. You will conduct audits to determine compliance as well as efficiency and effectiveness of operating practices.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

For GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying analytical and fact-finding techniques to assess programs inefficiencies and prepare narrative reports containing a statement of the issue or problem, background, observation, options for change, and recommendations for action. For GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying analytical and fact-finding techniques by gathering and analyzing data or information to identify problems and recommend solutions for assigned program. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For GS-09

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related

For GS-07

1 full year of graduate level education

or

superior academic achievement
