About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Duties

Maintain responsibility for Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS) administration including receipt card maintenance, equipment lifecycle management, and data input from operational dining facilities Provide technical advice, assistance, and specialized equipment knowledge concerning the operation, maintenance, and acquisition of all food service equipment. Act as a Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE) and Alternate Contracting Officer Representative (ACOR) for Food Service contracts, conducting inspections of dining facility operations for compliance with contract specifications. Provide input to the FPM in the development of the food service budget including equipment replacement requirements data for expendable items and supplies. Serve as a team leader responsible for establishing mission standards, organizing workload, evaluating the effectiveness of the Surveillance Program and making necessary changes as required.

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). -OR- Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Food Service Management or another related field. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Food ServiceManages ResourcesPlanning and EvaluatingQuality AssuranceTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
